We are an educational charity dedicated to making inexpensive, creative and hands-on science and math easily available and accessible to children and teachers.
TOPS programs are new approaches to learning, emphasising the use of fun, hands-on activities and experimentation to get children inspired, excited and involved in learning science and math.
The issue we are confronting:
1 in 5 students in secondary schools see science and math as difficult subjects to study. They develop the fear for these subjects right from their childhood because of community, school and family sterotypes.
Although these subjects
are universally taught in all primary schools, research have shown that by the
time many young people reach secondary school, they show less interest in these
subjects.
Presently, there is a world-wide concern about the steady decline in the number
of children and young people enrolling to study science and math in the upper
grade levels.
The solution we offer:
We lead children to follow simple step-by-step instructions and using local materials make much of their own equipment which they use to do all kinds of integrated cleverness.
